Parenting through the highs and lows of ADHD is a journey of perseverance and growth. In the face of challenges, we find strength, resilience, and the profound joy of seeing our children thrive.

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

Day 1

Sets the foundation for understanding ADHD at a fundamental level. We delve into the science behind ADHD, exploring the neurological differences and chemical dynamics that contribute to the condition. This session aims to demystify ADHD by separating myths from facts, providing a solid knowledge base for parents.

Day 2

Focus on the concept of "stage versus age" in children's brain development, a crucial aspect in understanding the behaviours and challenges associated with ADHD. This day is dedicated to exploring the various symptoms of ADHD, understanding the unique challenges they present, and  practical strategies to address them effectively.

Day 3

We will zeroe in on how children with ADHD process information, emphasising the importance of understanding individual processing modalities. Recognising that each child may perceive and interact with their environment differently is key to tailoring support and interventions effectively.

Day 4

we focus on the pivotal aspect of emotional regulation within family dynamics. We highlight the profound impact of parents' emotional triggers and responses on the overall household atmosphere. This session delves into the typical patterns of escalation often observed in conflicts between parents and children with ADHD. Furthermore, we closely examine the roles parents assume within these dynamics.
